Day 1: Welcome to Sydney

You'll be transferred from Sydney Airport to your hotel by private car. Join your Travel Director to visit the famous Rocks Markets. Explore the narrow lanes and stroll along cobblestone streets. Now it's time to find your sea-legs as you board a Captain Cook Cruise for your welcome reception and dinner where you'll meet your fellow travellers.

Day 2: Sydney

Enjoy a tour of the Sydney Opera House with a local guide. Later, join your fellow travellers at Bondi Beach for an iconic Australian experience. You'll be greeted by a local surf lifesaver before a Be My Guest lunch at an Aussie institution, the Returned Servicemen's Club, with its views over the Pacific Ocean.

Day 3: Sydney (free time)

Spend a free day in Sydney seeing the sights of your choice. Perhaps experience our Sydney By Night tour in AAT Kings' exclusive double decker coach or take an excursion to view the Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains or the Jenolan Caves. Or travel to the Hunter Valley, New South Wales' premier wine growing region, for a wineries tour.

Day 4: Sydney to Hamilton Island

This morning fly to Hamilton Island, one of the 74 sparkling islands in Queensland’s Whitsundays (airfare is not included and must be booked by you, your travel agent or AAT Kings). The rest of the day and evening is at leisure for you to explore the picturesque surroundings.

Day 5: Hamilton Island (free time)

Today in paradise it's time to let your hair down and relax. You may like to take a cruise to famous Whitehaven Beach. Whatever you do, at some stage grab a good book and sit back and relax by the resort pool.

Day 6: Hamilton Island to Port Douglas

This morning you’ll fly to Cairns (airfare is not included and must be booked by you, your travel agent or AAT Kings – see important flight information). Journey to the resort town of Port Douglas, nestled between two World Heritage listed areas, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree National Park. This afternoon you can relax by the lagoon-style pool, join in one of the resort's activities or take a stroll around the village of Port Douglas.

Day 7: Great Barrier Reef

Board a Quicksilver catamaran for your cruise to renowned Agincourt Reef, at the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Choose to snorkel (equipment provided) or you can stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a Quicksilver semi-sub.

Day 8: Port Douglas to Cairns (free time)

Your first stop is Mossman Gorge for a Ngadiku Dreamtime Gorge Walk. Your indigenous guide will help you identify bush food sources and provide an enchanting narrative of the rainforest and their special relationship with this unique tropical environment.
