Day 1: Welcome to Hobart

Transfer from Hobart Airport to your hotel for check-in and then you’ll take an afternoon tour of Hobart. See Battery Point, Salamanca Place, the Botanic Gardens, Constitution Dock, and Mount Nelson for amazing views overlooking Hobart. Tonight you will meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner with fabulous views of Hobart.

Day 2: Hobart, Queenstown

This morning you head west to New Norfolk and the magnificent Mount Field National Park. You’ll then take the winding journey to Queenstown along the rainforest-bordered road of World Heritage-protected Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park – a magnificent part of the world.

Day 3: Gordon River Cruise, Cradle Mountain

A spectacular Gordon River Cruise, where the wilderness comes to the water’s edge, is the highlight of today. Stop at Sarah Island for insight into Tasmania’s lesser-known convict history. See Hell’s Gate and Heritage Landing, before you travel to your hotel on the boundary of Cradle Mountain National Park.

Day 4: Cradle Mountain, Smithton

We’ll take you to gorgeous Dove Lake for spectacular views of Cradle Mountain. You’re likely to spot Bennett's wallabies, echidnas, and pademelons grazing. Picturesque Stanley is in your sights as you head west with a view of ‘The Nut’ and a chance to explore. Your final destination is Smithton.

Day 5: Smithton, Launceston

First up you’ll stop in Burnie for a guided tour of the Makers’ Workshop. Later, travel east along the coast to Sheffield for a wander through this town of murals with its colourful wall paintings. En-route to Launceston you’ll visit Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm for a delicious afternoon tea.

Day 6: Launceston

This morning travel to Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre through the Tamar Valley. Your expert guide will bring to life the mine’s extraordinary past and tell you of the town’s heritage. This afternoon is free for you to explore Launceston. Maybe take a tour of Boags Brewery!

Day 7: Launceston, Bicheno

Bridestowe Lavender Estate is your first port of call today – they have been growing lavender since 1922. Later we make a stop at the Legerwood Carved Memorial Trees, then visit Pyengana Dairy Company. After your lunch time break at St Helens, we'll follow the picturesque east coast south to Bicheno. This evening you may like to take an optional tour to see Bicheno’s wild penguin colony.

Day 8: Bicheno, Hobart

Get your camera ready for the spectacular and breathtaking Freycinet National Park. You’ll take a walk that will unveil astonishing views across brilliant blue water, forest and golden beach. Cape Tourville lookout is magic! We will travel through Swansea and Orford, then chart a course for Hobart.

Day 9: Port Arthur

Cross Eaglehawk Neck to the Tasman Peninsula and enjoy a cruise around the Isle of the Dead and a fascinating guided walk of Port Arthur’s infamous convict prison. See rugged sea cliffs from Pirate’s Bay Lookout, and feast your eyes on the amazing vistas of Tasman’s Arch, Devil’s Kitchen and the Blowhole. This evening celebrate with your fellow travellers at a farewell dinner.

Day 10: Farewell from Hobart

Your holiday concludes this morning after breakfast. You will be transferred to Hobart Airport for your onward flight.
