Day 1: Sydney, Berrima, Canberra

Depart Sydney this morning for your journey to the capital via the Southern Highlands, with a stop at historic Berrima. Visit Gold Creek Station, a working sheep farm, for a taste of country life including a welcome reception and an Aussie barbecue lunch. On arrival in Canberra, you’ll walk through impressive Parliament House with a local guide and visit the Australian War Memorial.

Day 2: Canberra, Beechworth

Before departing Canberra, you’ll visit the summit of Mount Ainslie in Canberra Nature Park to take in views of this unique city and surrounding ranges. Journey over the mighty Murray River into Victoria, taking the scenic route to historic Beechworth for your unique stay in one of the B&B properties.

Day 3: Beechworth, Melbourne

Travel through Glenrowan and Ned Kelly country to the culturally diverse and cosmopolitan Melbourne for a sightseeing tour, including a private walk through its famous hidden laneways. You’ll discover the city’s eclectic little lanes, arcades, café society, and interesting shops. This evening perhaps take a stroll to Southbank for dinner.

Day 4: At leisure in Melbourne

Today, Melbourne is all yours! If you wish to explore further, you can join an optional experience to the famous Penguin Parade on Phillip Island or visit Yarra Valley wineries, the Dandenongs and Puffing Billy Steam Train, or even Sovereign Hill’s goldmine.

Day 5: Great Ocean Road, Warrnambool

Hold onto your seats today for one of the world’s great road trips – the Great Ocean Road! You’ll get plenty of photo opportunities along this coastal road. Stop in the coastal towns of Lorne and Apollo Bay before you visit the amazing Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. We finish the day in Warrnambool.

Day 6: Warrnambool, Naracoorte

This morning visit Worn Gundidj at Tower Hill State Reserve. Your guide will provide you with an Aboriginal perspective about flora, wildlife, volcanic formations, and medicinal practices. Continue to Mount Gambier to visit the mysterious Blue Lake and then travel on to Coonawarra wine region for a tasting at Brand’s Laira Vineyard.

Day 7: Naracoorte, Kangaroo Island

Journey to Fleurieu Peninsula and visit the seaside town of Victor Harbor at lunchtime. This afternoon board your ferry at Cape Jervis bound for Kangaroo Island, famous for its natural beauty and fresh local produce. Kick off your island adventure with a visit to South Australia’s only boutique distillery. Finish up with a short journey to Kingscote.

Day 8: Kangaroo Island

Today head to Flinders Chase National Park, the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch. You’ll also have the chance to spot koalas, wallabies, and kangaroos. You’re invited to Andermel Marron Farm for a food and wine experience that captures what makes the island so special. Later join a guided tour at the Seal Bay Conservation Park and walk among a breeding colony of Australian sea lions.

Day 9: Kangaroo Island, Adelaide

This morning, cross back to the mainland and travel to the Adelaide Hills. Visit stunning Hahndorf, a German-inspired town. Enjoy an orientation tour of Adelaide with your Tour Director before checking in to your hotel. This evening you have a free night to enjoy the local restaurants.

Day 10: Barossa Valley

The rolling hills and world-renowned drops of the Barossa Valley lie ahead of you! First stop is picturesque Hahndorf. Experience its charm and hospitality and enjoy a wine tasting at The Lanes. Lunch is at The Company Kitchen where you’ll taste local wines with and fresh local produce. This evening join your Tour Director and new-found friends for a farewell dinner.

Day 11: Depart Adelaide

After an indulgent trip away, it’s time to bid farewell to your fellow travellers after breakfast, when your holiday comes to an end.
