Day 1: Welcome to Melbourne

Welcome to Melbourne. On arrival you are transferred to your hotel. This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception and dinner on board Melbourne's famous restaurant on wheels, Colonial Tramcar Restaurant! It's a great opportunity to get to know everyone in a unique setting where you’re ensured a delightful innovative approach to dining.

Day 2: Melbourne Sights

Join your Travel Director for a city sights tour that includes a private walk through Melbourne's famous hidden laneways. You'll discover the city's eclectic little lanes, arcades, café society and fascinating street art. There's time afterwards to explore the city on your own, enjoy an optional experience or simply relax and watch the world go by.

Day 3: Melbourne to Cairns

This morning you will be transferred to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Cairns, Queensland. On arrival join a private wildlife journey at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures. Enjoy a boat cruise and encounter koalas, wallabies, birds, crocodiles and more! This evening, enjoy a delicious meal overlooking the Cairns waterfront. * During 21st December 2017 - 31st March 2018 your dinner on Day 3 will be moved to Day 4 for a Be My Guest dining experience at Tjapukai Cultural Park instead.

Day 4: Cairns (free time)

Today is a free day to do as you choose. Maybe visit Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park* for an insightful look at indigenous culture or even journey to Kuranda, the village in the rainforest by historic train. If you’d prefer to spend the day relaxing by your hotel pool or sitting back at a local café for lunch watching the world go by, you can do that too!

Day 5: Great Barrier Reef

Get ready for an experience of a lifetime - board a high-speed catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. You can snorkel and view this natural living wonder up close (equipment provided) or stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a semi-submersible craft, just one metre underwater. Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch before you return to Cairns.

Day 6: Cairns to Sydney

This morning you'll fly to Sydney! On arrival there's time to relax at your hotel or explore this exciting city before boarding a Captain Cook Sunset Dinner Cruise. Enjoy a contemporary two course a la carte meal and the mesmerising views of Sydney at night. You'll pass magnificent waterfront homes, beaches and parklands and all the main harbour attractions including the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Day 7: Sydney Sights

Kick off this highlight day of sightseeing on a guided tour of iconic Sydney Opera House. Later, your destination is famous Bondi Beach, for an iconic Australian experience. You’ll be greeted by a local surf lifesaver before enjoying a delicious lunch at an Aussie institution, the Returned Servicemen’s Club, with its views over the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Your host will take you on an exclusive tour through Australia’s oldest surf lifesaving club and share with you the history of Bondi and surf lifesaving. Later enjoy some free time to do some shopping, enjoy an optional experience or maybe just take a stroll along the harbour front.

Day 8: Sydney (free time)

Today is free for you to do as you choose. Why not take a day trip to the spectacular Blue Mountains for fresh mountain air and stunning scenery. You’ll visit the charming village of Leura, see the famous Three Sisters rock formation and visit a Wildlife Park to get up close and personal to some of Australia’s cuddly native animals. If you’ve always wanted to climb Sydney Harbour Bridge, today could be your chance on a thrilling ‘Bridge climb’. This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a unique Be My Guest experience at Gardeners Lodge Cafe*. Join Aboriginal Elder, Aunty Beryl for an intimate dining experience featuring fresh local produce with traditional bush flavours. It will be an evening to remember. * During 21st December 2017 - 31st March 2018 you will have a farewell dinner on the harbourfront instead.

Day 9: Farewell from Sydney

Bid farewell to your fellow traveller when your holiday comes to an end after breakfast.
